I'll be participating in two readathons next week, the Booktubeathon and the Biannual Bibliothon!
They are overlapping this year but thankfully, I've found books to meet a challenge from each readathon, so I can easily participate in both.
I plan to have a successful week of reading... with quite the ambitious TBR! It took quite a long time to figure out a game plan here. I already had quite a lot of books borrowed from the library and from my cousin, so it was all a matter of going through and seeing which ones met which challenges. I still had to borrow two via my library's digital collection to complete all the challenges, but for the most part, most of these books are ones I've had quite a while and I need to read and return.
BOOKTUBEATHON
July 24th - 30th
Reading Challenges:
1/ Read a book with a person on the cover.
2/ Read a hyped book.
3/ Finish a book in one day.
4/ Read about a character that is very different from you.
5/ Finish a book completely outdoors.
6/ Read a book you bought because of the cover.
(I'm altering this challenge slightly since I'm using borrowed books... Read a book I "borrowed" because of the cover.)
7/ Read seven books.

MY TBR
The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead -
Challenge #1 in Booktubeathon and #3 in BiBibliothon
I picked this because there are people on the cover and because surprisingly, I found it included on a banned/challenged book list! I almost didn't have a book to meet the banned book challenge, and I certainly wasn't expecting Mead's books to be banned, but it was in a very long banned book Goodreads list. This is another library book I've had for a little over a month now... I'm slowly making my way through this second series.
Miss Peregrin's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs -
Challenge #2 in Booktubeathon and #5 in BiBibliothon
I picked this because this book is probably one of the most hyped books I've ever heard of (and I've still not read it) and because it has an adaptation I can watch afterward. This was an obvious and easy choice and it's something I borrowed from my cousin and need to return.
The Gift by James Patterson -
Challenge #3 in Booktubeathon and #4 in Bibibliothon
Another book I borrowed from my cousin, I chose this because I'm fairly certain I can read it in one day and because it features my favorite mythical creature: Witches! I've been obsessed with witches since I was a little girl... and because it's been over a year since I read the first book in this series... its time I get back to it.
Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh -
Challenge #4 in Booktubeathon and #1 in BiBibliothon
This is the group book for the BiBliothon, so I needed to fit it to one of the Booktubeathon challenges. I settled on challenge 4 because the character(s) comes from a different culture than I do... and unlike me, has magic and is no where near as ordinary as I am. So she's quite different than I am.
I don't actually have this YET. I'm on the waiting list for an ebook copy from my library. But I hope to get it in within the next couple of days.

100 Cupboards by N.D. Wilson -
Challenge #5 in Booktubeathon and #6 in BiBliothon
I was really glad to find challenges to use this one for. I borrowed this more than a year ago from my cousin and haven't read it yet. I picked it because I think I can read it outside without spending too much time outside (it's a childrens/middle grade novel so despite having quite a lot of pages, the text is on the bigger side) and because I had never seen it before seeing it on his shelf. It was completely new to me, I've never seen it on Booktube or Goodreads.
Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Cordova -
Challenge #6 in Booktubeathon and #7 in BiBibliothon
This is an ebook I borrowed specifically for this and I picked it because of the cover! It is GORGEOUS! As much as I loved the old cover, it was a little more themed, I still can't help but to love this one... the colors and the design just speak to me. It also has LGBT+ characters. I'm not entirely sure who, I don't know all that much about the book, but it was one of few I could find available in my library's digital collection.
Throne of Fire by Rick Riordan -
Challenge #7 in Booktubeathon and #2 in BiBibliothon
This is another book I borrowed from my cousin, and another series I've been meaning to continue for a long time. I picked it as an easy 7th book and because it meets several BiBibliothon Hosts fav genres!
